چکیده
Abstract The citation graph is a computational artifact that widely used to represent the domain of published literature. It represents connections between works, such as citations and authorship. Among other things, supports computation bibliometric measures h-indexes impact factors. There now an increasing demand we should treat publication data in same way conventional publications. In particular, cite for reasons this paper discuss what needed citation. We identify two challenges: model evolution credit appropriately (through references) over time not only set treated single object but also parts it. describe extension current addresses these challenges. built on central concepts: citable units reference subsumption. how would enable be represented within it allows improvements practices computations, both scientific publications data.

Fitting a graph to vector data Citation
We introduce a measure of how well a combinatorial graph fits a collection of vectors. The optimal graphs under this measure may be computed by solving convex quadratic programs and have many interesting properties. For vectors in d dimensional space, the graphs always have average degree at most 2(d+1), and for vectors in 2 dimensions they are always planar. We compute these graphs for many st...
متن کاملAnalyzing data citation practices according to the Data Citation Index
We present an analysis on data citation practices based on the Data Citation Index from Thomson Reuters. This database launched in 2012 aims to link data sets and data studies with citations received from the rest of their citation indexes. Funding bodies and research organizations are increasingly demanding the need of researchers to make their scientific data available in a reusable and repro...
متن کاملCitation and the Construction of Subdisciplinary Knowledge
The main purpose of this study was to examine the citation patterns of discussion sections employed by local and international article writers in ESP and EGP subdisciplines of applied linguistics. Eighty article discussion sections were selected from well-established local and international journals in the field of applied linguistics, and they were sorted according to Thompson and Tribble’s (2...
متن کاملMetasearch Via the Co-Citation Graph
In spite of numerous search engines available on the web, no single engine is capable of performing “better” under all circumstances. This being the case, metasearch engines have appeared. One major issue in metasearch engine design is the merging problem: given the ranked lists of pages returned by multiple search engines in response to a given query, what is the best way to combine these list...
